Sonae Dust Mountain on fire, pollution widespread.
Just in: Video Evidence of the Dust Mountain fire
The Liverpool Echo reported on the Sonae Wood Dust Mountain in its Nov 4th Edition. Under a headline of 'Fury at Factory Fire Ash'
the Echo picks up on Kirkby times exclusive article and photo's of the Fire damage which was unreported in the media.
Dozens of residents have complained. and as our photo below shows, the Wood Dust Mountain was on fire way before then and has continued to burn.

The Sonae wood dust mountain fire continues to burn...........

On the 7th of Nov the photo below was taken. There is also a video which
shows the smoke clearly blowing from the wood dust mountain. Run off from the Dust mountain is now worse as the toxic dust is now mixed with ash and
its likely some of the chemicals contained in this dust are already taking their toll on local wildlife in the nearby rivers and brooks.
Needless to say the fire is affecting the locals. The chimney has been on over-drive of late as night falls.
Kirkby Times appeals for anyone local with a decent camera to try and capture footage of the nightly pollution under cover of darkness.
Video or photographic proof is welcome.
